ZynixServe M-Starter POS · Last updated: 31 October 2026
ZynixServe M-Starter POS ("the app") helps restaurants and food shops take dine-in, take-away and online orders, print kitchen tickets and bills, and manage their menu. It is provided by Webzynix Technologies under the ZynixServe name ("we", "us"). This page explains what information the app uses and why.
Who can use the app
Accounts are created by ZynixServe for restaurants. We do not offer public sign-up. A restaurant's admin can add waiter and kitchen logins for their own staff.
Information we handle
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Restaurant name, phone, address, GSTIN (if the restaurant adds it) | To show the restaurant's details on bills and in the app. |
| Login details of staff: name, mobile number or email, and a password (stored only in scrambled form) | To let the right people sign in and to control what each role can do. |
| Menu: dishes, prices, sizes, extras, availability | To run the restaurant's menu and orders. |
| Orders and bills: items, amounts, tax, payment mode (cash, UPI, card, other), time, and a customer name or phone only if the restaurant types it in | To process orders, print tickets and bills, and give the restaurant its reports. |
| Printer details: the name or address of the Bluetooth or USB printer the restaurant chooses | To send tickets to that printer. |
| Basic technical records (for example the time of a request and error messages) | To keep the service secure and to fix problems. |
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not show third-party ads.
Permissions the Android app asks for
- Nearby devices / Bluetooth: only to find and connect to the restaurant's thermal printer.
- Notifications and background service: to keep printing new orders while the screen is off, and to show that the printing service is running.
- Internet: to talk to our server.
- Start after the device restarts: so printing resumes by itself after a restart.
Where information is kept
Restaurant data is stored in a database on our server and is sent between the app and the server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Each restaurant can only see its own data. We take regular backups and keep them for a short time (about 14 days).
Sharing
We do not sell information. We do not share it with advertisers. If a restaurant connects an online ordering platform (for example Ownly), orders from that platform are received by our server and the restaurant's order status and item availability are sent back to that platform. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep a restaurant's data while its account is active. When a restaurant leaves, we delete its data on request (see below) or after a reasonable period once the account is closed, except what the law requires us to keep.
Delete your data or account
A restaurant admin (or any user) can ask us to delete the restaurant's account and its data, or only some information, by emailing support@zynixserve.com from the registered email or with the registered mobile number in the message. We confirm the request with the account's admin and then delete the data, normally within 30 days.
Children
The app is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes to this page
If we change how information is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top.
